Purple for Passion

At least that is what my Nan says! I've always loved purple. I remember being four years old, and being disappointed that the 'purple' I had begged to have my room painted mysteriously became a pale mauve, instead of the garish deep purple I had chosen. I can't help it. Purple is in my blood. I try to include various shades of this glorious colour in my wardrobe whenever I can.
What do you think of when you hear the word 'purple'?

I am always looking for purple fabric. But truthfully, it is often hard to find. Thankfully more choices have been appearing at my local Fabricland, much to my delight! I found this soft, slinky jersey a few weeks ago and fell in love all over again. The bold geometric pattern is a combination of black, white, and a true clear purple. Because of the busy print, I decided to make a fairly simple wrap top. I used New Look #6149. Although I bought this pattern years ago, it is still available.

I have made both tops from this pattern and they are very easy to make, and extremely comfortable to wear.
I would highly recommend it. So, without further ado, I give you, ANNIE, making her first appearance in female form! (If you are wondering what I mean, check here)

I'm a little disappointed that the purple shows lighter than it actually is. But, you get the general idea.
So. What colour(s) do you adore? Are there any that you absolutely have to have in your wardrobe? Leave me a comment and let me know! Anne
