Well, I finally broke down and made a cute raglan sleeve tee to go with it. I have had the pattern for more years than I can remember, and I can't even start to count the number of times I've made it. I know that I made it dozen's of times, in all different sizes when my kids were small. It was my go to pattern for just about everything. I used it to make pajama tops, jackets, blouses for my daughter, and shirts for my boys. By changing the fabric and adding a buttoned front, it created a whole new look. Although the pattern is intended for knits, I used wovens too, and just cut the pieces slightly larger. Seriously. If you ever have a chance to get this pattern, do it! You will never regret it. Unfortunately it isn't in print anymore, so it may be difficult to find.
Here is my latest version.
To make the 'petals', I cut circles of the tee shirt fabric, folded them in half, and then in half again and sewed them on. I love the sparkly butterfly buttons. I think they add just a touch of whimsy to the outfit. What do you think?
