Bright Ideas

Do you ever lay in bed at night, and an idea pops into your head, and won't leave? It happened to me again last night. I had an idea for a little girl's sundress, and the image was so clear that I wanted to jump up and get sewing. But, I didn't think my dear hubby would appreciate it, considering my sewing machine is currently residing in our bedroom. So, I guess sewing at midnight is a bit unreasonable. So I laid there for over an hour, tossing and turning, laying out the pattern in my mind. So frustrating! Funny how the desire to do something always happens when you aren't able to do it. GRRR! And to top it off, I have other sewing projects I want to work on today, so my bright idea will have to wait!
I have been busy sewing for my etsy shop, and I'm excited to get it up and running. I'm currently working in little boy themes so a sundress certainly won't fit in! I'm also making a tunic top for my daughter, which I hope to complete today. It is so seldom that she asks me to make her anything, that I am very happy to do it.
So, with that said, I'm off to the sewing machine! I'll leave you with a couple of pics of my son and his girlfriend, taken just before they left for her prom on Friday night. Don't they look fabulous? (poor Taylor hates having his pic taken!)

  1. oooh, a sewing machine in the bedroom, sounds like an awful temptation! How do you have the willpower not to head over and just sew one more seam? Thankyou for your sweet words about my daughter's blog. I am very proud of her!
I hope your son had a great time at his prom!

  5. He he. YES! I get ideas like this too. And always when I have a bunch of must do projects first. Will be eager to see the finished project as your kids clothes are so cute (and I don't have a daughter so it's fun eye candy for me!) And lovely picture of the young people.
