Victoria Day

Happy Victoria Day everyone! I hope everyone in Canada had a wonderful long weekend. Today the weather was just perfect. Sunny and hot with a nice breeze. We sat out on the deck under our umbrella for an hour or so, visiting with my dad. So nice to just relax with family. We did have other visitors today. These ones are staying until Wednesday evening. This is what happens when you encourage your daughter to be a veterinarian!
Baby Raccoons!

Unfortunately the pics turned out dark and a little fuzzy. I will get better ones tomorrow while she is feeding them. I must have looked a sight, I had to crawl half in the dog crate to take these pics. I'm sure the neighbours were impressed. I was on the front porch! My daughter is caring for them for two days, while the vet who usually has them is out of town. There are four of them, and  they need to be fed with a syringe every three hours.  We have to wear leather gloves to feed them, they have very sharp claws and like to hold on while you feed them.  My poor dogs can't understand why they can't play with them! It will be a very interesting couple of days!

Remember when I showed you this picture?

I finally got around to working on it.

Sometimes you just want to have ruffles!

It looks a little crooked on the hanger, but it isn't. The bum ruffles aren't quite as straight as I intended, but all in all, I'm pretty pleased with it. I have to finish the back bodice buttons and buttonholes, but other than that, it is finished. Now all I have to do is find someone it fits!     Anne

  1. That is adorable! I love the ruffle bloomers! I love the way that back opens up to show the bloomers! Did you use a pattern? I'd love to make one of these for my little one.
