More Cuteness!

Our little guests are leaving this evening, after a two day visit. They are going back to the veterinarian who has been away. In a few weeks, they will be moving to a wildlife rehabilitation center, before being released into the wild. My daughter has been feeding them every three hours, and they learned quickly that when she came into view, it was dinner time! The four of them clamor at the wire door, crying to be fed. Because it was hard to tell them apart, and to remember which one had eaten, she painted one nail on each baby with a different colour nail polish.
They know exactly what to do. They hold on with their little hands.
And of course two of her brothers had too join the fun.
There were only two sad little faces.

They couldn't understand why they couldn't play too!                   Anne

  4. Oh my goodness they are adorable! What a great learning experience. I am a little jealous. Only a little because I know my rabbits wouldn't care for more animals right yet!

  5. Oh, wow--I'm in love. Aren't they adorable???? Poor doggies. My dog Shadow would know how they feel. I have a squirrel who will run down the tree for a peanut when I call her (I put it in the "V" where a branch meets the trunk) and Shadow just goes nuts. He can't figure out why Baby Girlie Squirrlie doesn't want to play with him!
It was wonderful of your kids to care for the wild babies!

  7. They are cute! Right now we are taking care of 8 opossums. They & their mama were trapped in our basement about a month ago. They are just about ready to be released.

  9. OMG, aren't they cute. We had a family of racoons on our deck a few years ago eating the cat food we had out there for our outside cat that we use to have. We went out to shoo them away and the mama hissed at us. Very big and mean.
